Surprising anti-aging secrets of the stars

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of anti-aging in Hollywood? Botox? Plastic surgery? Expensive cosmetic products? Exclusive makeup artists? Yeah, me too! It’s often hard to see past some of the superficial anti-aging techniques of celebrities. But, if you look a little deeper, it seems that some of the most beautiful women in Tinseltown, over the age of – gasp – 40, actually have some amazing natural tips for staying smooth, fit and happy!

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts is one of the most acclaimed actresses of our time. (Note: she’s been nominated for a little thing called an Oscar twice!!) But, despite the critical acclaim for her work there’s also no denying that the 46-year old Aussie is absolutely stunning to boot. No chemicals or surgical trickery here. She actually credits transcendental meditation for her young vitality.  Similarly, 69-year old Goldie Hawn also attributes daily meditation for her youthful appearance claiming, "The benefits of meditation aren't just in your head. They're as physiological as the benefits of exercise on your muscles."

Julianne Moore

At the ripe age of 54, Julianne Moore is on top of her game! After four previous nominations she finally won her first Oscar this year and couldn't have looked better doing it. With that perfectly porcelain skin, it’s no surprise that the mother of two is not a fan of sun exposure. She claims to never leave the house without SPF, to always walk on the shady side of the street and wears a hat whenever she hits the beach with her family.

Kim Cattrall

While you won’t find the Canadian bombshell rubbing hummus on her body like her Sex and the City character, Samantha Jones, you just might find Kim Cattrall rubbing a brush on her skin. That’s right, the 58-year old beauty claims to do regular dry skin brushing. This technique is said to detoxify the body, exfoliate the skin and reduce cellulite, among other things. She explains that the effects were instant saying, "I immediately saw that my skin was starting to feel healthier and fresher." Noted!

Cindy Crawford

No injections here! Supermodel Cindy has an unusual trick of using a milk mist for keeping her skin smooth and potential wrinkles at bay. Her secret to her smooth-faced success? Misting whole milk onto her face. According to Crawford she lets it sit for 15 minutes before washing it off, claiming it exfoliates, moisturizes and reduces wrinkles!
