Possessing an intense, medicinal aroma, tea tree can be used by the drop directly on the skin to cleanse and purify. Aura Cacia sources their tea tree from the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia, where this incredible plant is cultivated with great care and ecological consciousness. Our grower focuses on soil nutrition management--using practices such as vermiculture and composting--in order to enhance the tea tree oil production. Although the harvest comes at a premium price, our grower prioritizes organic materials over synthetic nutrition sources to ensure that soil mineral levels are maintained rather than depleted. Tea tree essential oil is non-toxic, non-irritating, and generally non-sensitizing. This pure essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and branch tips. Product technical data: Color: Clear, colorless to pale yellow Viscosity: Mobile Top Note: Strong, powerful camphoraceous-cineolic, oily aroma Middle Note: Diffusive, mace-like Dry Note: Less tenacious, dry mace-like notes Aromatherapy Actions: Purifying, uplifting, cleansing Origin: Australia.
