5 Days of Spring Cleansing

Spring Cleansing

Spring is the season of renewal.

We are coming out of a hibernation, there is a sense of new beginnings bringing in fresh, clear energy. This is the perfect time to do a little spring cleaning. Usually, this means just house chores, but it’s also the time to clear and revitalize our other home: the body. 

Below are 5 days of tasks to encourage a healthy springtime energy reset.

Day 1: Choose Only High Vibration Foods

Focus on sticking to fresh veggies, colourful fruit, and whole foods this week. Reduce your consumption of food from a bag, box, container, animal meat, and sugar. We want to energize the body with whole foods. The closer we can get to the root or the branch, the better high vibrational energy the food has, and the better we are going to feel.

Day 2: Organize

Is there a part of your house that you’ve been meaning to straighten up, go through, organize, or get rid of? Do this on the second day. Tend to your plants, re-pot them, and give them a good soak in your shower. Tidy up, get rid of old clothing and things you didn’t use. Less clutter means a clearer mind.

Day 3: Tend to Detoxification Pathways 

Exercise every day, as movement helps circulation and lymphatic drainage that rids the body of toxins. Drink 2.5 litres of water, and have liver support tea every night. Dry brush before the shower, eat bitter foods, and do deep breathing exercises before bed.

Day 4: Recirculate

Open all of the windows and doors in your house, letting new air create a cross-breeze through your home. This clears up stagnant energies and will leave your homespace feeling completely different. After, burn some dry cedar or rosemary and clear every room with it. Cedar is great for clearing negative energy and rosemary is burned to create a fresh start.

Day 5: Spring Clean your Intentions

Spring is the perfect time to clear and set intentions for upcoming months. Set 2 main intentions for the spring and summer. Meditate on what you are missing from your life, what do you want more of? What do you want to achieve? What habits do you want to work on instilling? Envision your life with the most fullness and happiness and plant those seeds.
