So Long Summer Stress with this DIY Deodorant!

Truth time: I have two major phobias in life. The first is of pigeons. Seriously, they’re so unpredictable and sketchy and bold and dirty and erratic. Yeah, I’ll probably live with this anxiety for the rest of my life. My other major fear is of having body odour! No one wants an unpleasant smelling personal trainer (or friend or family member or coworker) ... am I right?! Since I am in a constant state of sweat (which is obviously amplified in the summer months) and getting up close and personal with my clients, the stinky stress is very real and the struggle to find the best deodorant is ON! But the question is: what am I willing to risk to feel like my underarms are under control?

Dangerous Deodorant

We are all bombarded with the scary truth about what most antiperspirants and deodorants are made of and the damage they can do to our bodies. The aluminum and parabens in the traditional products can mess with our hormones and have been strongly linked to female cancers. No phobia is worth that gamble!

So, I’ve started to seek out some alternative means to seal the stank! Turns out, not only are there really effective natural deodorants on the market but there are also easy DIY recipes you can whip up in your kitchen. The easiest and most popular concoction involves only four ingredients!

DIY Healthy Deodorant Recipe:

Mix ¼ cup of baking soda with ¼ cup of cornstarch or arrowroot.
Blend 5-6 tablespoons of coconut oil until well mixed (easiest way is to mash in with a fork.)
Add a few drops of desired essential oils.
Store in a seal-able mason jar and use fingertips for application.

Will you be trying this out? We promise it's worth it!
