Natural Celebrity Beauty Secrets

Most of the time when I learn of a new celebrity endorsed beauty trend, I roll my eyes and continue on with my day. More often than not they’re either outrageously expensive, obscure or just plain old ridiculous.

Take Victoria Beckham for example. She reportedly endures Japanese Geisha Facials, which use the droppings from a nightingale to create a cleansing mask. Yes, she puts bird crap on her face. As for Goop goddess Gwyneth Paltrow, she recently revealed the benefits of getting a regular “v-steam.” What’s that you ask? A v-steam is a new, expensive spa treatment in L.A. that gives a deep and restorative cleanse to the lady parts. See? Eye roll!

But once in a while the stars surprise us by admitting to beauty remedies that are not only reasonable, they’re accessible to us all! Here are some of the best natural beauty trends in Hollywood.

Halle Berry: Coffee

Indisputably one of the greatest beauties of our generation, Halle takes care of her spectacular skin with a little coffee. That’s right! Apparently Berry adds coffee grinds to her body wash every day to get a healthy glow and to prevent cellulite. The caffeine stimulates blood flow and the grinds help to exfoliate the skin.

Emma Stone: Grapeseed Oil

One of the hottest actresses out there, academy award-nominated Emma Stone recently shared one of her favourite skin secrets – grapeseed oil! Yep, apparently she pats some onto her entire face and body after the shower and constantly reapplies throughout the day, admitting, “I pretty much smell like a grape all the time.”

Miranda Kerr: Coconut Oil & Apple Cider Vinegar

The brunette bombshell is almost as well known for her thick hair as she is for her sexy physique. Though we may not ever reach Victoria’s Secret status, we may have a chance of achieving Kerr quality tresses. Her secret? A coconut oil mask followed by an apple cider vinegar rinse! Apparently the oil conditions the hair to make it soft and smooth. The vinegar helps with the shine.

Kim Kardashian: Sugar

Kimmy K has never been shy about the lengths she willing to go in the name of beauty, from Botox to laser cellulite treatments. While not all tactics are ideal for everyone, she has revealed an easy, accessible and natural part of her beauty regimen. The reality star reportedly rubs her body with sugar in the shower to give a gentle exfoliation to her infamous curves.

Mariah Carey: Mint

It’s no secret that the glamorous songstress has expensive, over-the-top taste. But apparently when it comes to lip care, she keeps it nice and simple. According to reports, Mariah adds mint extract to her lip balm to help plump up her pout. The zesty mint flavour helps to increase blood flow.
