It's almost thanksgiving and you know what that means dont you?! Fun with friends, family, and all sorts of never-ending meals. It's all fun and games until the morning after food hangover sets in. Lethargy hits an all time high after a long weekend of indulgance, so as per usual, we're here to help. Behold our guide to Thanksgiving binge recovery, so you can focus less on feeling like garbage and more about how much fun your weekend was.

 

The Morning After Breakfast

Generally speaking the best way to kick off an early morning after a wild night of heavy food is with a massive dose of greens. Chances are you won't feel very hungry, but it's important to get your digestive system up and running. It's also a great source of vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin B6. Use as a dip for an apple and you've got yourself a perfectly balanced snack. 

 

End of Day Detox Dinner

Allow me to introduce you to your new best friend. If you thought quinoa was the miracle grain, you're about to have your mind blown. First of all, Fonia grain cooks almost instantaniously (literally as soon as the water boils is basically cooked) and it contains 5x more iron than quinoa. It's gluten-free, contains 10% of daily fibre per 35 grams and tastes like a combo of quinoa-meets-couscous with a nutty flavour. It's easy on your digestive system, helps maintain blood sugar and is a great compliment to any meal. I suggest using it as a base for a stir-fry. Using a heat-stable oil (Camelina Oil s a great option as it maintains stability up to  475° F), throw in onion, garlic, and your favorite vegetables and seasonings (we pretty much fight over soidum-free Herbamare around here) for the perfect detox dinner
